Climbing rope is mountaineering equipment. Modern mountaineering ropes are designed and produced according to the requirements of modern mountaineering. According to the different requirements of use, there are mainly two kinds of wear resistance and friction. The outer net of climbing rope is also divided into two kinds of single weaving or double weaving.
The main rope of the mountaineering rope is 60-100 meters long and has a diameter of about 10 mm. The weight per meter is about 0.08 kg, and the tensile strength is not less than 1800 kg. In the past, jute was mostly used for production, but nylon fiber has recently been used as raw material. There is also a main rope with a diameter of 8-9 mm, which weighs 0.06 kg per meter and has a tensile strength of not less than 1600 kg, which is used for climbing steep and dangerous rock walls.
