The climbing ropes can be selected in the following order:
A. The ropes are divided into power ropes and static ropes: in projects with the possibility of a dynamic fall, you must use a power rope: rock climbing, mountaineering, descent, bungee jumping. At this time, the extension of the rope is used to absorb energy. A static rope refers to a rope with zero ductility (approximately). Used for caverns, high-altitude operations, tracing streams, SRT, etc. Must not be used for climbing. The power rope is a flower rope, and the static rope is a white rope.
B. Power cord points: singlerope, doublerope, twinrope.
Single rope refers to a rope that can be used alone and is individually stressed. Generally, the diameter is 9.5-11mm, and it is generally used in normal times. It is best to choose a 10-10.5, and 9.5-9.7 for climbing.
Generally, everyone uses one rope for multiple purposes. Rock climbing, ice climbing, bigwall, mountaineering, and caverns are still thicker and durable. But if it is mountain climbing, it is indeed recommended to buy one less than 10. When going up the mountain, I feel that the double rope fingers must use two ropes at the same time to insert different protection points. The diameter is 8-9mm. For ice climbing, mixed, bigwall, technical mountaineering. Imagine that when you two climb a 100-meter rock wall, the pioneer climber drops a small rock and hits the rope with a knife. The same is true for ice climbing.
